Eleanor Holmes Norton said she won’t run for re-election as the nonvoting delegate of Washington, D.C., and will leave Congress at the end of this term

The 88-year-old nonvoting delegate has been a longtime proponent of statehood. Norton took office in 1991 and is currently in her 18th term.
