Russell Martin has been sacked as Rangers head coach after 17 games in charge in the wake of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Falkirk.

The 39-year-old had faced mounting criticism and opposition from Ibrox supporters and was given a police escort away from the Falkirk Stadium on Sunday after fans tired to stop the team bus leaving.
