Marchers ron Washington takes place 63 years after Martin Luther King Jr’s speech


Several thousand people marched to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, 63 years after Martin Luther King Jr made his famous “I have a dream” speech. The event, titled “March on Washington 2026: Defend the Vote”, called on strengthening voting rights.

The BBC’s Tom Bateman spoke to attendees about the significance of this march ahead of the midterm elections.
